angelic37 replied to your post: Oh wow the webrip of the new Spartacus is outI’m…
Yeah, that’s because starz put it on their website the 20th! This new episode is very good, but I didn’t find this new guy as amazing/charismatic/… as Andy was. But I think it’ll just take a long time to get used to him :s
Those were basically my thoughts as well! The episode was great from a writing/acting/etc standpoint. And the new guy wasn’t BAD. He just wasn’t Andy; but I know that’s unfair to him, and I’ll try to keep an open mind :(
# best.scene.ever # allison cameron # hey remember when foreman was cool? # i used to ship cameron/foreman # also cameron/wilson # although cameron/house was my otp # basically everything but what actually happened # lol house tptp are the worst
# family resemblance is uncanny # once upon a time # henry and his grandma!
You know, I’m sure that One For The Money is not the greatest movie ever made. But all this constant bashing of Katherine Heigl is just disgusting. It’s more than fair criticism, it’s a full-blown attack.
I will never believe those attacks are not motivated by sexism. You know what was in the review of OFTM by BoxOfficeMagazine? “Katherine Heigl will not rest until every last person on earth is a misogynist.”
YES. According to this guy (I checked: it was a guy), KATHERINE HEIGL is the cause for sexism. UM, EFF YOU DUDE.
I will bet you anything that if this movie:
1. didn’t have a woman as the main character
2. wasn’t written by a woman
3. wasn’t directed by a woman
4. wasn’t based on a book written by a woman
5. wasn’t targeted at women
the reviews wouldn’t be half as bad. If the protagonist were a guy, it would be a fun, harmless action movie instead of THE WORST THING EVER MADE.
Anyway, all the bad reviews only make me want to see it more.

TV Meme: 8 favorite characters—> Britta Perry
“Meanwhile, you’ve got Britta next to that, which is a fucking phenomenal study in the work you can do developing a character. I’ve dated women like Britta. I have politics like Britta. I’m awkward like Britta. I pronounce the word “bagel” like Britta……So my impulse was to start doing to her [Shirley] what I was doing to Britta in the first season in response to people saying, “We don’t like that character. We’re not responding to that character.” My response was to start pulverizing that character, putting pressure on her, saying, “You’re not supposed to like her. It’s all part of the show. Have you ever not been liked?” And slowly but surely, this Britta character went from being perceived as a mistake to being perceived as an achievement and numerous people’s favorite character, including mine.”- Dan Harmon
